Andrew Heimerman

Andrew Heimerman is a Field Application Engineer at Portainer.io since August 2023, focusing on container management for edge and IoT projects. Prior to this role, Andrew served as a Sales Manager at weeve and as Lead Sales Engineer at Staex, where Andrew played a key role in the founding team and transitioned from backend development to technical sales, contributing to product development and marketing initiatives. Andrew has also held positions at T-Labs and Deutsche Telekom as a Software Engineer and DevOps Engineer, respectively, and participated in a research project at MIT/Boston College aimed at developing a distributed storage system. Andrew's early career included roles as a Front-end Developer/Designer and Operations Technician. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies from Boston College and has additional academic experience from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.
