Jacquelyn Sikora Hanson, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Applications at Portal, coordinating with early adopters of next-generation mechanoporation technology since 2023. Prior to this role, Jacquelyn was the Associate Director and Platform Development Team Lead at SQZ Biotechnologies from April 2017 to December 2022, where significant advancements were made in the application of squeeze mechanical deformation technology for nucleic acid delivery and genome engineering. Collaborative efforts with external partners and various internal teams were prominent in the execution of innovative projects. Jacquelyn’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pathology and Cell and Molecular Biology from Boston University School of Medicine and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Northeastern University, complemented by extensive research experience in regenerative medicine and genetic risk factors in cardiac disease.
