Jack Mills

Jack Mills has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Jack is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at PORTAL, where they are involved in various aspects of the business such as fundraising, strategic planning, market research, product roadmaps, software development, and accounting.

Prior to this, they worked at RChain / CasperLabs, a startup focused on developing a third-generation blockchain from scratch. Jack was part of the early stage team and contributed to the architecture design and development.

Before that, Jack served as the Vice President at Aditazz, a startup in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Jack was responsible for managing geographically-distributed teams and overseeing product definition, UX design, software architecture and development, test automation, and devops.

Jack also played a crucial role as the second employee at Saratoga Speed, an early stage startup involved in flash storage technology. Jack conducted market research, co-defined the company's product line and roadmap, and was involved in system architecture and development.

As the Founder and CEO of GoalWerks Inc., Jack led a startup focused on developing a cloud-resident collaboration and social productivity app and platform. Jack was involved in every aspect of the company, from value proposition discovery to product design and development. Jack built and managed the team and acquired beta customers.

Jack also served as the Vice President and Board of Directors member at Salvus Group, where they monitored corporate execution and oversaw the development of a real-time monitoring system for supply chain transportation networks.

Jack's experience includes being the Founder and CTO of Locke-Rand Institute, where they worked on software infrastructure for cloud computing. Jack brought economics and business KPIs into computing and employed novel operating system architectures and distributed software abstractions.

Additionally, they worked as the VP of Research and Development at Appgenesys, managing the engineering department and delivering an automated datacenter management framework.

At Intel, Jack held the position of Director of Enterprise Platforms Lab. Jack managed a large organization and was responsible for delivering various technologies related to Java virtual machines, distributed web services monitoring, compilers, processors, and server platforms.
