Donal McElwee

Donal is the Portas Partner leading the Middle East and Africa office. He has worked on 75+ engagements in Saudi sports and 100+ globally.

He specializes in developing strategies and policies on behalf for governments and sports federations and has led national sports sector transformation plans for three GCC countries.

Donal works with investors, sovereign wealth funds and the fitness industry on developing their business and operating models.

Donal holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an LLM from Harvard Law School, and LLB from the University of Glasgow. He has previous experience at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Goldman Sachs, Roland Berger, and Yale University.
