James O'toole

James O'toole is the Development Coordinator at Porter-Leath. James was previously the Development Associate at the International Children's Heart Foundation from April 2016 to October 2019. There, they maintained donor information in the donor database using Salesforce, developed standard operating procedures for processing and acknowledging donations, wrote monthly newsletters sent to donors and supporters using Constant Contact, partnered with the Chief Administrative Officer to plan online fundraising events and online auctions, managed the foundation's social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, maintained the foundation's website using WordPress, answered office phone calls and directed them to the appropriate person, recruited and coordinated office volunteers as needed to help with various office duties, and assisted with shipments of supplies to international mission locations.

Before their time at the International Children's Heart Foundation, James worked as the Client Services On Site Client Liaison/Client Coordinator at Valassis from July 1999 to June 2014. In this role, they were responsible for managing client projects from start to finish, ensuring that all projects were completed on time and within budget. James also liaised between clients and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and project coordination.

Prior to their role in Client Services, James was the Lead Graphics Coordinator in Valassis' Graphics Services department from January 1987 to December 1999. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the production of all printed materials, including direct mail pieces, coupons, flyers, and more. James managed a team of designers and production artists and ensured that all projects met the highest standards of quality.

James O'toole completed their undergraduate degree at Christian Brothers University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Journalism.

James O'toole works with Natalie Jones - Development Officer, Toni Edmond - Performance and Quality Improvement Director. Their manager is Rob Hughes, VP, Development.
