Arghya Sarkar

Arghya Sarkar has a diverse work experience in the field of data analytics. Arghya started their career as a Data Scientist at Porter in November 2015 and worked in this role until September 2021. During this time, they gained expertise in data analytics and made significant contributions to the company. In September 2021, Arghya was promoted to the position of Senior Manager, Data Analytics at Porter, where they continued to excel until May 2022. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Data Analytics at Porter, starting in May 2022.

Before joining Porter, Arghya worked as a Consultant at EXL from June 2014 to October 2015, where they gained valuable experience in consultancy. Additionally, they also worked as a Summer Intern at Flow Edge Financial Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in May 2013, where they focused on option pricing, hedging strategies, VIX pricing, market holidays, and volatility calibration. Arghya played a crucial role in developing improved algorithms and writing industry-level codes for various back-testing procedures.

Arghya Sarkar earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Maths & Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained various certifications in subjects such as reproducible research, R programming, and business strategy from institutions including Coursera and DataCamp.
