Charlene Gervais, M.ADS, BCBA

Charlene Gervais, M.ADS, BCBA has had a diverse work experience over the years. Charlene began their career in 2003 as a Key Worker at Bairn Croft Residential Services, where they worked until 2006. In 2006, they joined The Portia Learning Centre as an Instructor and Lead ABA therapist, a position they held until 2010. Charlene then progressed to the role of Senior Therapist at The Portia Learning Centre until 2015.

Parallel to their work at The Portia Learning Centre, Gervais also worked at Algonquin College as a Facilitator from 2015 onwards.

Additionally, Gervais held the position of Director Of Curriculum Development at Portia ABA Clinic Software from 2014 onwards.

Their most recent role is that of Chief Clinical Officer at The Portia Learning Centre, which they assumed in 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Director Of Operations/Clinical Supervisor at the same organization from 2015 to 2019.

Charlene Gervais has a solid background in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and has held various positions with increasing responsibilities throughout their career.

Charlene Gervais, M.ADS, BCBA, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminology from the University of Ottawa. Charlene attended the university from 2001 to 2006. Charlene then pursued further education at Brock University, where they obtained their Master of Applied Disability Studies degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Charlene attended Brock University from 2009 to 2011. In September 2012, they obtained their Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the BACB.
