Jay Craig

Jay Craig has a diverse range of work experience. Jay started their career as a Beach Supervisor at the City of Brampton, where they managed the operations of a popular waterfront location. Jay then worked as an Operations Supervisor at DB Schenker, where they handled a national distribution account and implemented new processes to improve efficiency and client satisfaction. Jay then transitioned to the role of Operations Manager at Alma de Ojochal Hotel and The Bamboo Room Bar & Restaurant, where they successfully managed the operations of a boutique hotel and restaurant in Costa Rica.

Following this, Jay joined Uber as an International City Launcher, where they managed the operations and logistics of an international mapping project, including developing tools to track driver progress and collect data. Jay then moved on to Ritual.co, where they served as an Operations Manager - Expansion, leading a large-scale expansion effort in Toronto and Chicago. Jay collaborated with various teams to drive rapid expansion into new neighborhoods and rewrite sales and operational playbooks.

Currently, Jay works at Portl Media as the Operations & Growth lead. Jay is responsible for managing the growth and operational excellence of this fast-growing startup. Jay works closely with the engineering team to improve platform stability and spearheads growth initiatives, including onboarding new drivers and launching a new market in Vancouver.

Jay Craig completed their high school education at Heart Lake Secondary School from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics at York University, which they completed in 2015. In June 2016, Jay obtained additional certification in web development through "The Web Developer Bootcamp" provided by Colt Steele and Udemy.
