Joanna Clymer

Joanna Clymer, RN, BSN, JD, is a seasoned healthcare professional and educator with diverse experience in nursing, law, and education. Currently serving as a Healthcare Workforce Instructor at Portland Adult Education and an Adjunct Professor of Nursing at the University of Southern Maine, Joanna previously held positions including Clinical Team Lead at Carenet Health and Registered Nurse at various healthcare facilities. Joanna's background also includes a legal career as an attorney at CURTIS THAXTER LLC and adjunct faculty at the University of Maine School of Law, where Joanna taught Trusts & Estates. Joanna began a professional journey in education as a Special Education Teacher at Gorham High School and as a Museum Educator at Strawbery Banke Museum. Academic qualifications include a BA in Urban Studies from Haverford College, a BSN in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine, and a JD from the University of Maine School of Law.
