Robert And Mercedes Eichholz Senior Curator Of Modern And Contemporary Art at Portland Art Museum

Sara Krajewski currently serves as the Robert and Mercedes Eichholz Senior Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Portland Art Museum since September 2015, previously holding the title of Robert and Mercedes Eichholz Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art. Prior to this role, Sara Krajewski was the Director and Chief Curator at the Institute of Visual Arts (Inova) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from July 2012 to September 2015, where responsibilities included setting strategic direction, curating exhibitions, and fundraising. Additional experience includes serving as Curator at the Henry Art Gallery from September 2004 to June 2012, focusing on contemporary art exhibitions and collection development, and as Curator of Exhibitions at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art from March 1997 to December 2002. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Arts in Art History from Williams College, along with ongoing studies at the Center for Curatorial Leadership since January 2019.
