Alexander Murphy is a consultant currently working in Portland since September 2023. Previously, Alexander held positions in the City of Chicago, serving as Deputy Press Secretary and Advance Associate in the Office of Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot from May 2019 to June 2022. Alexander also contributed as an Advance Associate for Better Together Chicago, the transition organization for Mayor-elect Lori E. Lightfoot, in April 2019. Earlier experience includes a finance internship for Sharon Fairley’s campaign for Attorney General of Illinois and a marketing internship at the Chicago Architecture Biennial. Alexander earned a Bachelor's degree in History from Union College, completing studies in 2018.
