Joshua Gerlach

Joshua Gerlach, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in smart grid technologies and electrical engineering. Currently serving as the Principal Control Center Systems Engineer at Portland General Electric since February 2015, Joshua has held multiple roles focused on distribution automation, substation automation, and SCADA systems. Prior to this, Joshua was a Project Manager and Team Lead at HDR Engineering, Inc., where responsibilities included supervising engineers and managing projects related to protection and control design. Additionally, Joshua worked as a Project Engineer for Elcon Associates, Inc., and gained early experience as a Substation Engineer with Black & Veatch and as a Process Engineer at Sony Disc Manufacturing. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Oregon State University.
