Salman Khan

Salman Khan, MASc, P.Eng., is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in control center systems and distribution management. Currently serving as Principal Control Center Systems Engineer at Portland General Electric since October 2022, Salman previously held various engineering roles at BC Hydro from May 2015 to October 2022, including Senior Engineer, where responsibilities involved the design and implementation of Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), and Engineer I, overseeing Distribution Management System operations. With a research background from the University of Victoria focusing on network cybersecurity and SCADA systems, Salman has also contributed to NERC CIP compliance at BC Hydro and gained early experience as an Electronics Engineer with the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan. Salman holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Sir Syed University.
