Sidney Chang

Sidney Chang is a seasoned professional in energy procurement and origination, currently serving as the Principal Energy Supply Procurement Originator at Portland General Electric since August 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Vice President of Origination at Aypa Power, where Sidney marketed and negotiated offtake opportunities for utility-scale battery storage and solar projects across WECC and ERCOT. Previously, Sidney held similar leadership positions at Balanced Rock Power and ENGIE North America Inc., focusing on developing renewable energy projects and securing power purchase agreements. Sidney's career also includes roles at Sempra Renewables and Enel Green Power North America, along with early experience in energy markets at Noble Environmental Power and Northeast Utilities. Sidney holds a degree from Carnegie Mellon University and has a background in photography as the owner of Sidney Chang Photography.
