Uma Venkatachalam

Uma Venkatachalam is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in application development and engineering, particularly within the energy sector at Portland General Electric since 2003. Currently serving as the Application Development & Engineering Manager for Data Solutions, Uma has successfully led teams in developing data products and spearheaded a significant migration to cloud solutions, achieving substantial cost reductions. Previous roles include Principal Information Architect, where Uma oversaw AWS Cloud API development, and Solution Architect for the Customer Engagement Transformation Project, optimizing operations and reducing costs. Additionally, Uma has a background in systems integration and middleware implementation across various consulting roles at notable companies such as TEKsystems, Siemens Business Services, and Cognizant. Uma holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree in Chemical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
