Erin Damon has extensive experience in museum collections management and exhibition coordination, currently serving as the Director of Collections and Head Registrar at the Portland Museum of Art since January 2007. This role includes responsibilities in the development and negotiation of touring exhibition contracts, budget planning, and overseeing junior registrars and preparators. Previously, Erin held various positions within the Portland Museum of Art, including Assistant Registrar, where responsibilities encompassed managing traveling exhibitions and ensuring the care of a significant collection. Erin's earlier experience includes roles at the Milwaukee Public Museum, where leadership was demonstrated in database projects and collections conservation, and at several academic institutions where curatorial and archival duties were performed. Erin holds an MA in Art History & Museum Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a BA in Art History & Hispanic Studies from Wheaton College Massachusetts.
