Erin Merchant is a dedicated scientist currently serving as Scientist I at IDEXX since April 2021, following a prior role as Associate Scientist. With a background in research, Erin gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant in the Townsend Lab at the University of Maine and as a Student Research Intern in the Kaczorowski Lab at The Jackson Laboratory. Previous professional roles include bartending at Portland Pie Company and serving at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar. Erin also completed an internship at IDEXX focused on Rare Reagent and Design Development. Erin is pursuing a Master of Science in Biotechnology at the Roux Institute at Northeastern University, building on a strong academic foundation established at the University of Maine, including participation in the Honors College.
