Chuck Lovell MSSL currently serves as the Assistant Chief and Chief of Police for the Portland Police Bureau, leading a department of over 1,000 personnel and shaping strategies to enhance collaboration and effectiveness. With a background that includes establishing the Community Services Division and holding various leadership roles such as Lieutenant and Sergeant, Chuck Lovell has demonstrated adeptness in addressing community needs and overseeing critical public-facing programs. Prior to law enforcement, Chuck Lovell was a Lead Operations Analyst at Modern Technologies Corporation, advising on intelligence strategies, and served as an Intelligence Analyst in the United States Air Force. Education includes a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from the University of Charleston and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Park University.
