David Beane

David Beane has extensive experience in media education and production. Since September 1999, David has served as a New Media Teacher at Portland Public Schools, focusing on media studies and production techniques. Prior to this role, David was a Senior Producer at WCSH6 from 1994 to 1999, where responsibilities included overseeing promotional marketing for news and programming. David's career in television production began as a Production Manager at WMTW-ABC8 from 1989 to 1994, managing operations and staff within the production department. David holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Emerson College, attended from 1980 to 1982, and briefly studied at the University of Southern Maine in 1978-1979.
