Dr. Zulema Naegele

Dr. Zulema Naegele serves as the Principal for Portland Public Schools since July 2021, after holding the position of Vice Principal. Prior experience includes Assistant Principal at Faubion School from July 2019 to July 2023, and Vice Principal for Academics at De La Salle North Catholic High School from July 2017 to July 2019. Additional roles encompass Research Assistant at The Oregon Community Foundation, Doctoral Fellow at the University of Portland, STEP Retention Counselor, and Spanish Teacher. Dr. Naegele holds a Doctor of Education degree in Ethnic Studies and Educational Leadership from the University of Portland, along with a Master’s in Multicultural Education from Portland State University and a Bachelor’s in Spanish from Arizona State University.
