Jennifer Mayo

Jennifer Mayo is an experienced educator with over two decades in the field, currently serving as a Math Instructional Specialist and Science Teacher on Special Assignment at Portland Public Schools since August 2000. Mayo specializes in district science instruction and adult professional development, with a focus on the Next Generation Science Standards for K-8 education and STEAM integration. Prior experience includes a role as Science Education Specialist for the Oregon Department of Education and recognition as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow, where contributions were made to NASA's educational projects. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leading and Learning from the University of Portland, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology and East Asian Studies from Indiana University Bloomington.
