Chuck Knepfle

Chuck Knepfle is currently the VP of Enrollment Management at Portland State University. From 2010 to 2019, they were the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management at Clemson University. In this role, they were responsible for admissions, financial aid, registration, residency determination, and visitor programs. Chuck led efforts to meet all enrollment targets, increased enrollment of underrepresented minority students by 40%, cut university default rates by more than half, and oversaw budgets of over $300M. From 2001 to 2010, they were the Director of Financial Aid at Miami University.

Chuck Knepfle holds a PhD in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Clemson University, an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Miami University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Systems Analysis from Miami University.

Chuck Knepfle reports to Stephen Percy, President. They work with Kevin Reynolds - VP, Finance & Administration, Kevin Neely - VP, University Relations, and Cindy Starke - General Counsel & Board of Trustees Secretary.
