Russ Lathrop

Russ Lathrop is an experienced sports media professional currently serving as Director - MLS/Apple at IMG since February 2023. With a diverse background in directing roles, Lathrop has held significant positions at the Portland Trail Blazers since February 2018 and at ESPN since September 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing live sports content for MLS, NCAA basketball, and other events. Lathrop also has a long tenure as a Director and Video Editor at Beta Pictures, beginning in 1989, and has held various director positions in sports broadcasting with Univision Communications Inc., Nashville Soccer Club, TrueVR, Fox Broadcasting Company, Turner Sports, and Minnesota United FC. Lathrop obtained education from Bates Technical College from 1987 to 1989.
