Ruby Joy White has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Ruby Joy most recently served as the Director of Culture and Community at Portland'5 Centers for the Arts starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they were the Equity and Racial Justice Program Manager - Parks & Nature at Metro from September 2020 to September 2022. Ruby Joy also worked as the Post-Show Curator and Panel Moderator at Portland Center Stage at The Armory from April 2019 to January 2022. Additionally, they served as a Writer and Editor at Art For Ourselves from May 2018 to January 2021 and as the Program Director of the Multicultural Resource Center at Reed College from May 2017 to April 2020. Before that, they held multiple roles at the University of Northern Colorado, including Multicultural Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator from June 2015 to May 2017, Regional First-Year and Transfer Recruiter from August 2013 to May 2017, and UNC Collective Coordinator from June 2012 to July 2013.

Ruby Joy White has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Sociology from the University of Northern Colorado, as well as a minor in Psychology. Ruby Joy also holds a High School Diploma from Denver East High School, earned between 2002 and 2006.
