David Sproston

David Sproston is the Group Finance Director at Portmeirion Group Limited. David has held this position since June 2008. Prior to that, they were the Finance Director at Portmeirion Group UK Limited from September 2004 to May 2008. David started their career at Deloitte as an Audit Manager in September 2004 and was rapidly promoted to Audit Semi-Senior and then to Audit Assistant Manager.

During their time at Deloitte, they managed a range of clients, including a number of listed PLCs, major subsidiary entities reporting to group parent companies, large limited companies and small owner-managed entities. David was also part of the company training department, facilitating new recruits through their inductions and basic training.

David Sproston decided to move into industry in order to utilise their skill set in both financial reporting and business advisory services. David is a qualified ACA and has completed their training contract.

David Sproston attended Walton High School where they completed 4 A-Levels in Mathematics, English, David'story and General Studies. David then went on to study at Loughborough University where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Management.

David Sproston reports to Mike Raybould, Chief Executive. They work with Jacqui Gale - Chief Commercial Officer, Mick Knapper - Group Operations Director, and Bill Robedee - President, North America.
