Jacob De La Rosa, MD, is an accomplished cardiovascular surgeon with extensive experience in cardiothoracic surgery. Currently serving at Portneuf Medical Center since July 2004, Jacob holds multiple leadership roles, including Wheeler Family Endowed Chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Surgery Service Line Chief, Cardiovascular and Cardiology Service Line Chief, Surgical Director of the Transcatheter Valve Program, and Chief of Cardiac Surgery. Previously, Jacob was the Chief Executive Officer at LOCQUM from January 2019 to May 2021 and completed cardiac surgery training at Emory University School of Medicine between July 2001 and May 2004. Additionally, Jacob was a General Surgery Resident at UC San Diego Center for Community Health from July 1996 to May 2001, and received a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School from 1992 to 1996.
