Ana Vara

Ana Vara has extensive work experience in the IT industry, particularly in roles related to software application analysis, design, development, and maintenance.

Ana started their career at Servicios de Informática Profesional, S.A. (SIPSA) in 2000, where they worked as an IT Programmer Analyst & Consultant. During their time there, they were responsible for analyzing, designing, and maintaining software applications for clients such as MAPFRE BANK, CAJA MADRID (BANK), and VOLKSWAGEN FINANCE.

In 2004, Ana Vara joined IPS (Ingeniería, Productividad y Sistemas) as an IT Programmer Analyst & Consultant, where they continued to perform similar tasks, focusing on the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of software applications for VOLKSWAGEN FINANCE.

From 2006 to 2011, Ana Vara worked at Orizon as an IT Programmer Analyst & Consultant. In this role, they were involved in the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of software applications at VOLKSWAGEN FINANCE, using technologies such as COBOL, CICS, DB2, .NET, and Web Services.

In 2011, Ana Vara joined Volkswagen Financial Services Spain. Ana initially served as an IT Project Manager & IT Functional Analyst, responsible for implementing projects in the Volkswagen Bank, Finance, and Renting area. Ana'stasks included resource management, risk control, monitoring and planning of developments, database modeling, and the preparation and execution of test plans.

Later on, Ana Vara became the IT Maintenance Manager at Volkswagen Financial Services Spain, where they were responsible for the maintenance management of software applications. This included managing requests, analyzing the portfolio, prioritizing requests based on their impact on the business, coordinating the resolution of requests, and resolving conflicts. Ana also served as the IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM), overseeing the relationship between the Business area and the IT Development area, managing the IT Backend Development team, aligning business priorities, and reporting on development progress and KPIs.

In their most recent role at Porto Application Center VWFS (Volkswagen Financial Services), Ana Vara has worked as a Business Analyst and an IT Project Manager. Ana is responsible for gathering business and functional requirements in projects related to the international standardization of VWFS computer applications. This includes generating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, presenting standard processes to markets, delivering standard requirements, supporting markets in designing their future organization, providing benchmarks, best practices, and knowledge transfer to markets. Ana also applies agile principles and practices to project delivery, manages stakeholder communication and engagement, and maintains project schedules and budgets.
