Shawn Sirrs

Shawn Sirrs has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shawn currently holds the position of Sr. Software Developer at Portside, starting from June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Solutions Architect at Convverge, Inc from May 2021 to June 2023. From 2019 to 2021, they served as a Solution Architect at Ferus Natural Gas Fuels.

Shawn also has extensive managerial experience, having worked as a Software Development Manager at Ferus from 2012 to 2019. Before that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Symantec from 2006 to 2012. Prior to Symantec, they worked as a Systems Analyst / Database Developer at Direct Energy from 2005 to 2006.

Earlier in their career, Shawn worked as a Lead Web Developer at Stem Cell Therapeutics from 2005 to 2006. Additionally, they held the position of Lead Developer / Project Manager at Stripe Mobile from July 2005 to October 2005, where they developed an e-commerce solution and built interfaces using various technologies.

Furthermore, Shawn gained experience as a Lead Software Developer at LaunchVision Research from 2004 to 2005 and as a Database Programmer at Complete Land Systems from September 2003 to December 2003.

Shawn Sirrs completed their Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education at the University of Saskatchewan from 1990 to 1995. Shawn also obtained a Diploma in Object Oriented Software from the University of Calgary from 2002 to 2003.
