Sinead McCarthy

Sinead McCarthy is an experienced ecology professional currently serving as the Ecology Manager for Havant Thicket Reservoir at Portsmouth Water since September 2023. Previously, Sinead held various roles at Ecus Ltd from February 2018 to September 2023, including Senior Consultant Ecologist, Consultant Ecologist, and Assistant Ecologist. Sinead's early career included the position of Ecological Project Officer at Middlemarch Environmental Limited in 2017 and roles as an Enabler at WESC Foundation and Assistant Trainee Ecologist at Acorn Ecology Limited. Sinead's expertise encompasses Phase I Habitat Surveys, Phase II Protected Species Surveys, and extensive report writing, with a solid knowledge of UK and European wildlife legislation. Sinead holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Brighton and has completed relevant training through Acorn Ecology Ltd.
