Brian Tackett

Brian Tackett is a software test engineer with experience in various roles within the technology sector. Currently a QA Engineer on the Package Manager team at Posit PBC since April 2023, Brian previously worked at ThreatConnect, Inc. from September 2020 to January 2023, where testing of Python integrations and updates to core features of a security orchestration platform was performed. Brian also has experience as a software developer at Syncurity, focusing on Python integrations and automation of security alerts from January 2019 to March 2020. Earlier roles include a Cleanroom Student Assistant and Research Aide at the University at Buffalo, a Research Assistant at Cornell Survey Research Institute, and a Teaching Assistant/Associate at Syracuse University. Brian holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo, as well as a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Syracuse University and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, respectively.
