David Koma

David Koma has extensive work experience in the RFID and technology industry. David is currently working as the VP of RFID Solutions at Positek RFID since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Checkpoint Systems as a Business Development Manager - RFID from 2021 to 2022. From 2020 to 2021, they were a Strategic Sales and Business Development Leader at Independent, where they specialized in RFID, M2M, IoT, sensors, and data analytics. Before that, they served as the VP of Sales and Business Development - Industry Solutions at Elatec USA Inc. from 2017 to 2019, driving significant growth in the North American market. David's experience also includes roles as a Key Account Manager at Sensitech from 2013 to 2017, Principal at Linkstream, LLC in 2013, and Director of Business Development and Key Account Manager at HID Global Corporation / ASSA ABLOY from 2005 to 2013. David began their career at Gemplus in 1997, initially working in product marketing and later transitioning to roles in business development and sales.

David Koma attended Penn State University from 1983 to 1985 and studied Electrical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1981 to 1983, also studying Electrical Engineering. David has additional certifications in various areas such as Culture of Performance, Effective Negotiating, Influential Leadership, Key Account Management, and Strategic Selling & Solution Selling.
