Delmar Powell

Delmar Powell has extensive experience in the music industry, particularly in Artist and Repertoire (A&R) roles. Delmar is currently the VP of A&R at Position Music since November 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at Downtown Music Publishing from 2019 to May 2021. Delmar was responsible for scouting and signing new artists, songwriters, and producers, as well as creating opportunities for Downtown clients and copyrights globally. Before Downtown, they worked as the Director of A&R at Republic Records from 2014 to 2018. Delmar also has experience at Universal Music Group as a Manager of Physical Sales from 2011 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Junior Project Manager at iced media® in 2010, an A&R at Atlantic Records from 2009 to 2010, and an Executive Assistant to the President at TVT Records from 2007 to 2009. Delmar's career began at Jive Records in 2006, where they worked as an Urban A&R Assistant and later as a Marketing Administrative Assistant.

Delmar Powell attended Florida Southern College from 2002 to 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Management and Business Administration.
