Amy Gross-Kehoe

Amy Gross-Kehoe has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Amy started their career in 1993 as the President of Race One / Gross Consulting & Publicity, where they were responsible for event management, public relations, coaching, consulting, and copywriting. Amy also handled public relations and media coverage for national and international sailing regattas and solicited advertising and sponsorships for events and publications.

In 2019, Amy became the Director of the New Bedford Yacht Club Foundation Sailing School, where they planned, promoted, and supervised a sailing program for children. Amy also coached junior and adult sailors of all levels in small dinghies and keelboats. Additionally, they served as the Sailing School Director until August 2021.

Amy was a Coach Trainer at Positive Coaching Alliance from 2017 onwards, where they trained and coached individuals. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as the Deputy Waterfront Director at SUNY Maritime College, providing support and advice to varsity dinghy and offshore sailing coaches. Amy also maintained the Waterfront pages on the college's website and wrote descriptions for various programs, classes, events, and staff.

Prior to that, Amy held various roles at The Gunston School from 2009 to 2013. Amy served as the Director of College Counseling, Waterfront & Summer Programs, where they initiated, marketed, planned, staffed, and managed a summer camp for children. Amy also managed the campus waterfront facility and advised prep school students in the college search and application process.

Amy has also worked as an Insurance Agent at New York Life Insurance Company, a Sailing and Powerboating Instructor and Coach at Chicago Yacht Club, and the Head Sailing Coach at Northwestern University. In their earlier years, they served in multiple roles at US SAILING, including Agenda Coordinator and Youth Council Chair.

Most recently, Amy worked as a Building based substitute at Falmouth Public Schools, Lawrence Junior High starting from 2020.

Amy Gross-Kehoe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Youth Psychology from Eckerd College. In addition, they obtained various certifications from US Sailing, including Level 3 Coach, Keelboat Instructor, and Level 1 Instructor Trainer, in June 1989.
