Kim Holmes O'Shea has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Currently, they are working at Positive Coaching Alliance as an Outreach & Research Coordinator and also serving as a Certified Trainer. Prior to that, in 2020, they founded their own coaching company called KHO Coaching.
Before starting their own business, Kim worked as an Independent Consultant for The Pampered Chef from 2015 onwards. In 2017, they held the position of Executive Director at Southern California Swimming until September 2020. From 2015 to 2016, they served as the Safe Sport Coordinator for USA Fencing.
Kim's career in swimming administration started with their role as Executive Secretary at Colorado Swimming from November 2012 to March 2015. Kim was responsible for numerous tasks including swimmer, coach, and official registrations, swim meet sanctions, website management, club development, and treasurer duties.
From 2001 to 2012, they worked for USA Swimming in different capacities. Kim was the Make a Splash Program Manager from September 2008 to October 2012 and prior to that, they served as the Western Zone Sport Development Consultant from January 2001 to September 2008.
Earlier in their career, they worked as an Assistant Women's Swim Coach at the University of Tennessee from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they were an Age Group Coach at Carmel Swim Club from 1995 to 1998. Kim began their coaching journey at Bloomington Swim Club, first as an Assistant Coach and then as the Head Coach from 1992 to 1995.
Kim Holmes O'Shea received their Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University Bloomington. Kim studied at the university from 1983 to 1987, focusing on their field of study.
