Richard Fons has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Richard started their career at BioScrip in 2001 as a Pharmacy Manager, where they successfully opened a specialty pharmacy and managed multiple sites across nine states. In 2010, they joined AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin as the Director of Pharmacy and was later promoted to Vice President, Pharmacy. During their time there, they focused on financial management, integration of clinical pharmacists, and achieving outcomes management through quality assurance. In 2017, Richard worked as an Outpatient Pharmacy Coordinator at Froedtert Hospital. Most recently, in 2018, they took up the role of Vice President of Pharmacy Services at Positive Impact Health Centers. Additionally, they have also been part of the speakers bureau at Gilead Sciences since 2003.
Richard Fons completed their education at UW-Madison from 1992 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy. Prior to that, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1988 to 1992, where they studied Pre-Pharmacy through the Pre-Pharmacy Studies program. Additionally, Richard holds a certification in AAHIVP from the American Academy of HIV Medicine, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
