Jim Hawkins

Jim Hawkins is a seasoned radio presenter with extensive experience in broadcasting and media. Currently hosting the weekday mid-morning programme 'Jim Hawkins' on BBC Radio Shropshire since August 2003, the show engages listeners on various local and global issues. As co-owner of Positive News since July 2015 and former owner of Jim Hawkins Limited, which provided diverse services including radio presentation and photography until 2022, Hawkins has demonstrated a multifaceted career in media. Past roles include columnist for Shropshire Life Magazine, co-presenter of the award-winning drivetime show 'The Baldy Brothers' on Century FM, and various positions at BBC Radio and other networks.
