Jannis Fischer

Jannis Fischer has a range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Jannis started their career as a Student Intern at NORD/LB in February 2009. From April 2009 to December 2013, they worked as a Student Assistant at Freie Universität Berlin. In January 2014, they began working as a PhD Student at ETH, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, a position they held until October 2017. Following this, they worked as a Pioneer Fellow and Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich from June 2017 to January 2020. In August 2018, Jannis became the Founder and Co-CEO of Positrigo, a role they held until February 2019 when they transitioned to the role of Co-Founder and CEO. Overall, Jannis has gained valuable experience and leadership skills throughout their career.

Jannis Fischer has a diverse education background in the fields of physics and mathematics. Jannis started their academic journey at Freie Universität Berlin, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from 2007 to 2011. During this time, they also had a guest semester at ETH Zürich in 2009-2010.

Building on their undergraduate studies, Jannis then attended Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics. In the same year, they had the opportunity to study abroad at UCLA for a year, focusing on physics as well.

In 2014, Jannis enrolled at ETH Zürich, where they pursued a Doctor of Science (Dr. sc. nat.) degree in Physics, specializing in the field of study of Physik. Jannis successfully completed their doctoral studies in 2017. Alongside their doctoral studies, they participated in an exchange program called Austauschjahr at UCLA in 2011-2012 to further enrich their physics knowledge.

Aside from their academic degrees, Jannis also obtained a certification called Innosuisse Business Growth Medtech from Venturelab in October 2018, showcasing their commitment to expanding their expertise beyond traditional education.
