Röthlisberger earned a BASc in Betriebsökonomie from FHNW and completed a CAS Growth & Transformation, Innovationsmanagement at Universität Luzern; additional credentials include an Advanced Executive Programm in General Banking from Swiss Finance Institute (2015) and a Certified Corporate Banker (CCoB) from SAQ (2013).
