Korry Douglas

Korry Douglas is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in database technology, particularly PostgreSQL. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at pgEdge since February 2023, Korry has contributed to the PostgreSQL Global Development Group since 2001 as both a contributor and author, including the publication of the second edition of PostgreSQL through Sams Publishing in 2005. Previous roles include Database Engineer at Amazon Web Services, where Korry led the architectural design of Babelfish for PostgreSQL, and Principal Software Engineer at State Street, managing a team to enhance PostgreSQL performance and facilitate migrations from other database systems. As Chief Architect at EnterpriseDB, Korry developed row-level security features for PostgreSQL. Earlier experience includes leading research and development at APPX Software, focusing on a 4GL development environment with a portfolio of mission-critical clients.
