Ruiyan Xu

Ruiyan Xu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ruiyan is currently serving as the Associate Director of Product Management at Postlight, where they also held the positions of Lead Product Manager and Senior Product Manager. In their role as Senior Product Manager, they managed MTA Mercury, a communications platform for the Metropolitan Transit Authority.

Prior to their time at Postlight, Ruiyan worked as the Director of Digital Strategy at the YMCA of Greater New York, where they were responsible for leading digital products and strategy. Ruiyan also served as the Assistant Director of Digital Media at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, overseeing website strategy, development, design, and user experience. Additionally, they held the role of Web Manager at the garden, leading the website through a responsive redesign and managing content, design, and development.

Earlier in their career, Ruiyan worked as a Senior Web Editor at Teach for America, creating website and marketing content and launching a blog. Ruiyan also worked as a Web Producer at POV/American Documentary, where they created microsites for documentary films and produced multimedia content for the POV website. Lastly, Ruiyan began their career as a Web Production Artist at WNET New York Public Media.
