Ad Melkert is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in governance and international relations. Currently serving as President of the Dutch Hospital Association and Chairman of the Supervisory Board for both de Alliantie and Florence, Melkert also holds the position of Adviser to the Council of State on EU budgetary matters. Previous roles include Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq at the United Nations and Member of the Board of Directors at The World Bank. Melkert has a strong academic background with a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam and further studies at Georgetown University. Notable past engagements encompass leadership positions in various organizations, focused on compliance monitoring, data governance, and development effectiveness.
