As the Chief Financial Officer of PBDC, Paul is a proven financial leader. He provides direct insight into the investments of the Company, including activities that range from strategic direction, investment selection, due diligence, post-acquisition integration and divestiture. During his tenure at PBDC, he has been a member of an Executive Leadership team that has achieved exponential growth in both top-line revenue and net income. This net income has been reinvested or returned to the PBDC shareholder, the Forest County Potawatomi Community. Paul has revised banking and treasury relationships which have resulted in new and creative financing opportunities for both acquisition and operational growth.

Paul has worked closely with the Executive Leadership team on the design and execution of the Company’s strategic plan, including the successful management of the Company’s passive investment portfolio. This portfolio includes a mix of privately held real estate investments, publicly traded REITs and a series of private equity technology investments. His approach has created a systematic investment process that will grow the value of these investments over time.

Paul’s prior experiences include as a senior manager at the national accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP and in various financial leadership positions with consumer products companies that include Johnson Outdoors, Scubapro and Master Lock as well as the industrial businesses of Gardner Denver and Lucas Milhaupt. Extensive M&A experience includes numerous acquisitions and divestitures. Acquisitions have included both start-up and mature enterprises, including deal sizes that range from $500K to $250 million. His education and training include a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an Executive MBA with International Business Specialization from Marquette University.
