Melanie Lovatt

Melanie Lovatt is a seasoned finance advisor specializing in LNG research reports at Poten & Partners since January 2014. With a robust background in journalism, Lovatt served as Executive Editor at MEES from November 2001 to April 2013, leading a major relaunch of the influential publication focused on the energy, finance, and politics of the Middle East and North Africa. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Correspondent at BridgeNews from 1994 to 2001, where management of a team of energy reporters and direction of extensive energy news coverage were key responsibilities. Lovatt was also Managing Editor for Platt's Metals Week from 1993 to 1994 and American Editor for Metal Bulletin Monthly from 1989 to 1993, focusing on the metals industry. Lovatt holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Hull, obtained between 1984 and 1987.
