Ben Willacy

Ben Willacy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Commercial Manager - Energy Markets at Potentia Energy from January 2025. Previously, Ben held the position of Head, Wholesale Energy Development at Nectr, overseeing wholesale markets and utility-scale business development. Earlier roles include power market analyst and consultant at ITK Services Australia, where Ben focused on electricity price forecasting and renewable energy analysis, and Senior Analyst at Rystad Energy. As co-founder and director at Sustainable Energy Research Analytics, Ben created a renewable energy project data tool and provided in-depth sector analysis. Additional experience includes key economic advisory positions within the UK government and significant roles at Wood Mackenzie in coal supply research. Ben holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Southampton and a BSc in Economics and Finance from Loughborough University.
