Jen Buss

Jen Buss began their work experience in 2005 as an intern at Research Management Group. Jen then worked as a Staff Scientist at AccelaPure before joining the University of Maryland, College Park as a Graduate Research Assistant. In 2012, they joined the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies as the Vice President of Science and Technology Policy. Jen then served as the President and currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at the institute.

Jen Buss pursued their education in Biochemistry, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the University of Delaware from 2002 to 2006. Building on this foundation, they then went on to complete a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Maryland between 2006 and 2011.

The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies is an independent, 501(c)(3), not-for-profit public policy research institute. The Institute identifies and aggressively shepherds discussion on key science, technology, and national security issues facing our society. From these discussions and forums, we develop meaningful policy options and ensure their implementation at the intersection of business and government. The Institute’s current endeavors have required the formation of special efforts in: Terrorism and asymmetry; Emerging threats and opportunities; National health policies; Science and technology forecasting; and National security.
