Kelly Kavanaugh

Kelly Kavanaugh is an experienced educator and coach with a strong background in special education, coaching distance track and field, and race management. Currently a Special Education Teacher at Fairfax County Public Schools since 2012, Kelly has developed curriculum and managed classrooms for small groups while also teaching Geometry and Algebra I. As Head Distance Track & Field Coach for Centreville High School, Kelly creates training plans and oversees athlete safety. Additionally, Kelly serves as a race announcer for Commonwealth Race Management and has held various roles in sales and coaching at Potomac River Running. Kelly's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in American Literature from George Mason University, complemented by experience in writing and social media through internships and contributions to online publications.
