David Bayer

David Bayer currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at Pottawattamie County, a position held since September 2005, overseeing IT and GIS teams. Previously, as the GIS Coordinator at the same organization, David managed staff, projects, and budget for the GIS Department. David's earlier experience includes working as a GIS Analyst at Earth Tech and HNTB, where responsibilities encompassed GIS data maintenance, website maintenance, utility and transportation GIS, and mobile GIS application development. David began a career in GIS as a CAD Technician III for the City of Kansas City, MO, focusing on GIS map production and coding. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Northwest Missouri State University, earned in 1997.
