Jacquelyn Walz has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jacquelyn started their career as a Classroom Aide in Poudre School District in 1993 and later became a Language Arts Teacher in Weld County School Dist Re-4, where they developed and implemented alternative teaching modules for at-risk students. In 2000, they worked as an Instructor and Curriculum Developer at Discovery Institute.

In 2015, Jacquelyn took on multiple roles, including PaCE Coordinator at Poudre High School, where they coordinated work skills and career experience programs for students, and Co-Founder of Opportunities Unlimited, a program for opportunity youth to reengage in education and complete their GED. Jacquelyn also worked at Poudre School District as a Discovery Program Teacher, Curriculum Writer, English Second Language Specialist, Professional Development Coordinator, and Literacy Interventionist.

Jacquelyn Walz has an extensive education history. Jacquelyn earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Literature from Fort Lewis College in 1993. Jacquelyn then pursued further education at Colorado State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in both English Language and Literature and Language Arts, Creative Writing from 1993 to 1995. In 2003, Jacquelyn attended the University of Northern Colorado and completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Education, specializing in English Language Acquisition.
