Kaitlynn Schmurr

Kaitlynn Schmurr, M.Ed. has a diverse range of work experience. Kaitlynn is currently working at Wellington Middle School as a Student Council Advisor and Leadership Teacher. Prior to this, they were a Middle School Science Teacher at Poudre School District, where they received the 2022 Drysdale Teacher of the Year Award. Kaitlynn'steaching responsibilities included instructing over 175 students on topics such as Cells, Genetics, Natural Selection, and Ecology, aligned with the Colorado State Standards.

Kaitlynn has also worked as a Private Tutor, providing academic support outside of school hours. Additionally, they served as an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Wellington Middle-High School, where they coached the inaugural season for the High School JV Girl's Volleyball team and led them to their first victory for female sports at the new high school.

In terms of previous roles, Kaitlynn worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Colorado Department of Education. Kaitlynn has also gained experience in the hospitality industry, having worked at MoFunParksLLC as a Lodge Operations/Manager. In this role, they managed housekeeping schedules and staff for multiple accommodations, as well as worked at the State Park Marina, providing various customer services.

During their collegiate years, they held leadership positions such as Secretary at the Nutrition Club (NAU), COB Recruitment Chair, and Scholarship/Academic Representative at Chi Omega Delta Lamda. Kaitlynn also served as a Recruitment Counselor for the Panhellenic Council at Northern Arizona University.
