Franky Perez is a retired school counselor with extensive experience in educational and counseling roles. From September 1991 until retirement, Franky worked at Poughkeepsie City School District, providing guidance and support to students. Prior to this position, Franky served as a Talent Search Counselor at SUNY New Paltz from 1991 to 1992. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from SUNY Albany, obtained in 1993, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from SUNY New Paltz, completed in 1990.

PCSD is organized into one high school, one middle school, and five elementary schools. Under the District’s Strategic Plan each school has been designated as a Community School. Under the Community School Initiative, PCSD seeks to increase its impact on student learning by strengthening and employing effective practices that lead to in and out of school success.
